Binghamton is located in the Southern Tier Region near the Pennsylvania border, three hours from New York City, three hours from Niagara Falls, three hours from Rochester, and three hours from Philadelphia. Binghamton is the principal city and cultural center of the Binghamton metropolitan area, also known as Greater Binghamton or the Triple Cities. The Greater Binghamton area is home to 152,000 people (according to the 2010 census) and spans over 9 counties; Broome, Tioga, Cortland, Delaware, Chenango, Tompkins, Susquehanna, Bradford, and Wayne.

A coalition of downtown, and now West and South side, restaurant owners formed with the shared wish to further the food and beverage culture in Binghamton, NY. The organization focuses its attention on creating community value – a core principle in their mission is to: promote locally-owned businesses, as well as Binghamton culture and pride while raising money for a local charity.

The First Friday Art Walk, held on the first Friday of each month from 6-9 PM, has been “The Place To Be Gorgeous” in Binghamton, New York. Presented by Gorgeous Washington Street Association, the First Friday Art Walk is our signature event highlighting the area’s growing arts community. First Friday patrons enjoy gallery hopping, art openings, music and theater shows, fine dining, cafes, entertainment and merchant’s special events at venues ranging from 30-40 locations downtown and throughout the city’s neighborhoods.
